Standard Shower Leak Repair Service

These are the 4 steps we use for fixing a standard leaking shower:

1. Check For Leaks

We use our experience combined with thermal imaging leak detection technology. This allows us to accurately identify and confirm there is a leak. We can also determine the source of the leak.

2. Degrout The Shower

Taking out the existing grout from the affected areas means we can then dry underneath the tiles.

3. Dry The Affected Area

Using a wet-dry vacuum cleaner we suck up as much water as we can from underneath the tiles. Then we need to wait until the affected area is completely dry. This process can be sped up by using a small heater pointed at the shower base. Usually the area is dry within 24-48hrs. It depends on how wet it is underneath the tiles. If there has been a problem for only a couple of weeks, it will dry quicker than a shower that has been leaking for several months.

4. Regrout The Shower

Once the shower is completely dry, the floor and walls of the shower can be regrouted. Using Kera epoxy grout means the shower will be totally waterproof. It’s best to wait 48 hrs to ensure the epoxy grout is totally dry before using the shower.
