What are the most common causes of shower leaks?
- Weakening or cracking of grout
- Poor workmanship building the shower initially combined with normal wear and tear
- Building movement due to changes in weather conditions
- Building movement as it settles into its foundations
- Failure of the waterproofing membrane
How do I know my shower is leaking?
The tell-tale signs that a shower is leaking are:
- Loose grout or tiles
- Cracked paint or plaster
- Wet carpet near the area
- Visible signs of watermarks outside the shower
- Visible gap between the shower base and the wall
- Warped door frame or timber
Can you quote my shower or balcony job over the phone?
We will ask you a series of questions and probably 50% of cases we can give you a price over the phone, the other 50%, we’ll need to organise to view the job to give you an accurate quote.
What isn’t covered by warranty?
Our warranty does not cover any mould or sealant discolouring, plumbing issues, and any major building movement.
When can I use the shower again after the repairs have been done?
We suggest you don’t use the shower until the next morning, allowing everything to dry overnight. Ideally should you allow 24-48 hours after the job is completed to use the shower again.
What is the latest time to use the shower before the repairs are done?
We suggest 8pm the night before to have the last shower. For best results, please give the shower area a quick clean and towel dry.
